The italicized texts are citations or loose quotes:

1. & 4. adapt the phrases "resynchronization takes time" and "on cloudy days if moved to constant light" from a Wikipedia. article on the common sunflower.

2. borrows the line "a practice of gentle aversion" from Maggie Nelson's The Art of Cruelty.

3. & 5. borrow the lines "the shifting, the mutable — all that the absolute excludes" and "Detailed, urgent; once in a while, selfless" from Louise Gluck's The Seven Ages.

The font is Times New Roman and the weather in Hamburg (where this site was made) is cloudy. The year is 2024, it is early July, and the days just started getting shorter.
